:: Belarusian Independent Bloc was created on Belarus

On the 27th of October few political activists signed a declaration of creation Belarusian Independent Bloc (BIB). Declaration was signed by chairman of the Belarusian Christain Democracy Vital Rimasheuski, leader of young union “Young Front” Zmicer Dashkevich, chairman of BNF Alyaksej Yanukevich, leader of movement “For freedom” Alyaksandr Milinkevich and also principal of a movement “Young Belarus” Artur Finkevich, solidarity movement “Together” Vyachaslau Siuchyk, organization “Right alliance” Yuras Karetnikau and young christian party “Young Democrats” Alyaksandr Shumkevich.

As it is written in the document, representatives of national forces, combine their efforts “to achieve real changes in our country”. Here are some of the main points of BIB programme:
Create good terms to undertake free and fair elections in Belarus, defence civil rights for freedom of expression, freedom of associations and meetings, stop political repressions in country and release political prisoners, help in increasing usage of Belarusian language at schools, universities, mass-media and other organizations in Belarus, judge totalitarian ideologies such as communism and fascism as antihuman and immoral.
Representatives of new political bloc also want to start “a strategical cooperation with countries from programme <> and with European Union countries”.
“We are signing an agreement of creation of the Belarusian Independent Bloc and we clinch to introduce permanent coordination and cooperation with organizations, which signed this agreement” – the document says.
“Even though communists sincerely and openly share our values, which we put in our declaration, they can join our bloc. But I think it is unreal, because they share different values” – said Milinkevich. According to him it is now impossible to choose one candidate for a chairman of United Democratic Forces (UDF).
One of the UDF chairman, leader of United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka, is sure, that creation of BIB will not increase the number of changes’ sympathizers.
Politician thinks that “in the end BIB founders can only decide about their corporation business, but not answer the main question – about democratization and human rights in Belarus”. He said also, that the only one positive thing about BIB creation is their one structure. “It is not a secret for anybody, that this bloc consists of people from one ideological structure”.
